What Does Certified Preowned (CPO) Mean?

A certified pre-owned vehicle (or CPO) is an alternative to purchasing a brand-new car by choosing to look towards buying vehicles that have been used by another owner prior. Certified pre-owned cars differ from just used cars because they are required to maintain a certain set of standards. Depending on the customer, going to the CPO route is the best personal option for purchasing a car as it offers a lot of advantages and benefits.

One of the major assets when purchasing a certified pre-owned vehicle is the money you get to keep in your pocket versus purchasing brand-new. Because the car has been used, it will be sold at a lower price than market value even if the interior and/or exterior of the car has been unchanged. There is also better access to low-rate financing and often offer warranty coverage to that of brand new cars. And, of course, spending less money on a necessity is always a great feeling.

Another perk of buying certified pre-owned is the shopping process as well. When purchasing a certified pre-owned car, you’ll have the security of knowing that it was inspected by a trained-mechanic to determine whether or not the car’s performance aligns with the manufacturer’s guidelines. Some guidelines may include: how “young” the car is, how many miles are on the car, and can the vehicle pass a multipoint inspection done by a trained, professional mechanic. The main difference between CPOs and used cars at dealerships is the standard that must maintain, and trusting your mechanic and the reports on the car’s performance goes a long way when taking into account the safety of the vehicle.

Because of the advantages CPOs provide, they’re growing in popularity. NC Certified pre-owned vehicles give customers options and open the window to an array of options for affordable and reliable vehicles. It maintains a certain standard for vehicle performance, and may offer a user the opportunity to purchase a car that looks, feels, and smells new regardless of the miles presented on the car. Presenting options is a major perk that certified pre-owned programs offer, which in the end, will always benefit the customer.

Is a Honda Accord a Good First Car for a Teenager?

A milestone. It seems as though it was yesterday that your baby was crawling around in diapers while you pushed them around in a little toddler car. Now they’re getting their driving permits and licenses are you’re left with the question: Where did the time go? Looking for different cars, there’s so many options and things to consider: How safe is the vehicle? What’s my price range? How much maintenance will my child be responsible for checking? Is this vehicle reliable enough for my needs?

One of the most common first-cars to consider is the Honda Accord. Created by Soichiro Honda and the Honda company, the Honda Accord is a popular car ranked number 3 out of 19 in Midsize Cars and has been one of the best selling cars in the US since 1989 and is offered at an extremely affordable price. Ranging at an average of around $20,000 to $25,000, it’s great for customers that want a comfortable and reliable car that has a number of features to offer.

A Honda Accord is a four-four sedan that seats five people for an extremely comfortable ride. The Accord has remarkable fuel economy pulling 18-27 miles per gallon in a city and 28-36 gallons per mile on a highway which is a huge advantage over some of the other gas-guzzling vehicles in the market. Another important factor to consider when purchasing a first car are the safety features each car has to offer. In 2014, the Honda Accord earned the highest possible safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and a 5-star overall vehicle score from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Combining the safety features, the Accord’s aesthetically appealing interior and exterior design, and affordable price range, it serves as a great first car for users and a great first car to trust with that angsty teen that just received their license and want to go out and explore. It’s absolutely terrifying and a new experience, but it helps to know that your kid will be taken care of. I mean, it can’t hurt to let them drive themselves to school and soccer practice… right?

If you are looking for a Honda Accord in Wilmington, NC make certain to look at the options available from Lejeune Honda.

Should I Bring My Honda Into the Dealership for an Oil Change?

Over the last several years, I have had to decide upon taking my Honda Civic into a Honda dealership or going to a mechanic or store like Auto Pro to Call. While it may be the case that I can save some money taking my car into a local mechanic for an oil change, I always worry about the expertise of said mechanic. While most feel as if Honda cars and trucks are easy enough under the hood, it may still be the case that I would rather have a certified Honda expert or technician that can complete the task at hand.

If you live close to Wilmington, North Carolina like me, you have probably thought about going to WalMart, Sams, Autozone or Advance Auto Parts to buy a few quarts of oil, an oil filter and change the oil yourself. While this is an option for many, it is not an option for those that live in an apartment or do not own their own home. If you own your own home, you can catch the oil in an oil pan and discard of it as you deem necessary. If you live in an apartment complex or a townhouse you will find that you cannot change the oil in the parking lot out front of your building.

This is something to keep in mind before deciding to go and buy five quarts of oil in WalMart. Also note that change an oil filter yourself is not as easy as sliding under the car and taking off the filter and putting another on. You will have to put your car up somehow and then go under and take off the filter. This often leaves you with a hand and arm full of oil that will not come off for several days.

Think about taking your Honda Accord or Civic to a place like Lejeune Honda which offers amazing technicians and great customer service. No matter what you have to pay, it will be worth it to avoid the concern about leaking oil or anything else that could be a problem under the hood. Always consider your long term costs before deciding on changing your own oil or doing anything under the hood. This is my suggestion. What do you think? Do you like to change your own oil?

What is in the Old Lejeune Lincoln Building on North Marine Boulevard?

Over the last several years, many people have driven down North Marine Boulevard of Highway 17 wondering what is in the old Lejeune Lincoln building. Years ago, Lejeune Lincoln went out of the building that was right beside Lejeune Honda. Now, it is actually the Lejeune Honda used car lot. Most people do not know this because there are no signs on the building as of March 2017.

Recently, Lejeune Honda has expanded their used car inventory and it will likely be the case that we start to see signage in Jacksonville, North Carolina in the near future. We have no idea when this is going to happen, but one would expect as they fill out their lot, they will put a sign that states that this lot is their used car lot.

It is very useful for Marines or other military personnel to look at some of the used car options that are available. Used cars in Jacksonville, NC are very popular because smart buyers do not want to lose money as soon as they drive a vehicle off the lot. In fact, many Honda Accord and Honda Civic buyers are looking for vehicles with over 100,000 miles as they know Hondas will last for several hundred thousand miles.

If you are looking for a used Honda vehicle that is going to cost less than $10,000 there are several options available on the old Lejeune Lincoln lot which is now the Lejeune Honda used car lot. If you have been thinking about trading in your old car or are simply looking to get another vehicle, a used car is not a bad option.

Also note that you can still finance a used car; you do not have to pay cash when you drive this car off the lot. Some would argue that the financing is a little bit higher than a new car but that will all depend on your credit score and the overall credit history of the borrower. There are many good credit score borrowers that can get a very low interest rate on a used car loan in March or April 2017.

Can I Get a New Honda Accord or Civic Under $300 a Month in Wilmington, NC

Most people looking to buy a new Honda Accord or Civic are trying to keep their monthly payments as low as possible. Car buyers are never looking to pay more. Why would you want to pay $429 a month when you could pay $315 a month? Note that financing can be tricky as the length of the loan term determines monthly payments, but, overall, getting a vehicle for under $300 a month is ideal. It is especially ideal with a 60 month or five year loan.

So, if you are looking to buy a brand new 2017 or even 2018 Honda Accord or Civic in Wilmington, North Carolina, can you get it for under $300 a month? Well, that depends on the exact vehicle you are buying, when you are buying it and how much of a down payment you make. If you are willing to make a $15,000 down payment you can get a monthly car payment under $99!

That said, most people are not going to drop $15,000 on a down payment for a vehicle. In fact, more and more people are applying a much smaller down payment with interest rates being so low. If you can get 0% or 1.9% interest on a vehicle loan, why would you put $5,000 as a down payment? You are basically getting the loan for free so there is no reason to spend your hard earned money today. Instead, you can pay the loan off over the course of time.

Why is Dave Christiansen of Lejeune Honda Calling to Buy My Car?

If you live near Jacksonville, North Carolina and you have a vehicle there is a chance you have received a phone call from Dave Christiansen of Lejeune Honda who is looking to buy your Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford, Chevrolet or Dodge. Many people are going to ask, “Why is he calling and does he really want to buy my car?” If he wants to buy your car, is it worth it to sell it right now? Can I actually make good money on selling my car to them even though it has over 100,000 miles?

Note that these phone calls are coming to you because you have kept your vehicle current on the proper maintenance. It is not the case that everyone with a vehicle gets a phone call. The fact that you have been very responsible with your vehicle means it has value. If you have been considering trading in your car, truck, van or SUV or simply want to make some extra money in March 2017 it would be a wise decision to give Lejeune Honda a call and consider selling them your car.

So, are they trying to rip you off or get your car for less than it is worth? Not exactly. Many of these Honda car dealerships are looking to expand their used car lots so they want to buy cars quickly. At the present time, it looks as if Lejeune Honda is looking to expand the lot beside them which was the old Lejeune Lincoln dealership. In fact, there are still people that are searching to find out what is in the Lejeune Lincoln location.

The worst case scenario is that you call Lejeune Honda and discuss how much your vehicle is worth. You may even find that you make a significant amount of money that can go towards paying off other car loans or credit card debts.

Note that your vehicle does not have to be a Honda Accord, Civic or Odyssey. While most think that a Honda used car lot only has Honda vehicles, this is simply not the case. No matter what type of vehicle you have, you will likely be able to make quite a bit of money if you are willing to sell it to Lejeune Honda in March 2017.
